This record has an amazing sound and is way ahead of it's time, to think that this record was released in 1984 is remarkable, it's production sounds like something from 1985 or 86.

This was The Unknown DJ's first record on his own label Techno Hop, so launched what was a great label with many great releases.

The track is an electro-funk style instrumental with a very heavy drum track and some amazing synth work. There is a great dark sounding synth bassline throughout with a melodic high frequency synth pattern appearing periodically, very typical of many electro-funk records of the time.

What is also interesting about this track is the sequenced scratch pattern near the end, something that Unknown used on a few of his records, most notably the classic 808 Beats.

A high quality electro-funk record that still sounds great to this day, easily one of the best west coast Hip Hop records to surface in 1984. This is one of those records that you would love to hear played at full blast in a nightclub to hear it in all it's glory.

This was the track that got me to Pop n Lock in public, I still rate it as one of my all time top tracks, in fact I want this played at my funeral!
